The standard we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines come from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
What we've done
- Every space and room has its own page with a written description, so nothing important lives only in a picture or a video.
- The camera moves and the arrival video switch off if your device is set to reduce motion. When they do play, a Skip button appears, and Escape skips too.
- The video has no sound and never plays for more than about five seconds.
- You can reach every space on the map with a keyboard, and you can always see where you are.
- The labels on each view are also listed as text, for screen readers and small screens.
- Text stands out clearly from its background, including text over photos.
- On phones, each view keeps its shape and scrolls sideways, so the labels stay on what they point at.
What isn't perfect yet
This is a concept demo of a fictional venue, so there's no phone number, email or booking form to offer as another way in. A real venue site would list them here.
Browsers and devices
The site works on phones, tablets and computers in recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox. Browsers that don't support page transitions simply load the next page without the crossfade.
